Juergen Teller at Lehmann Maupin Gallery

Teany will be on hand this Thursday for a special event.

Famed photographer, Juergen Teller, who has been shooting Marc Jacobs current campaign, will present for the first time in the United States, his exhibition “Ukraine.” Opening night exhibition will be on from 6-9pm at the Lehmann Maupin gallery located at 540 West 26th street in Chelsea. Friday Night at the Museum of Natural History

Friday night, at the AMNH, Moby will be providing the music alongside MTV2 for the showing “SonicVision.” It will feature the music accompanying a computer-animated dreamscape, beamed onto the interior of the planetarium’s dome.Priced at $15 7:30pm - 8:30pm. click HERE to purchase tickets and see more information.

Then, from 9pm to 1am, DJ A-Trak, The Cool Kids, and Kid Sister provide an amazing cast for tonight’s monthly One Step Beyond event at the Rose Center for Earth and Science.Tickets are $20 and include a free pass to the Museum for future use.
Entrance to the event is through the West 81st Street entrance, just off Central Park West.

Molly Crabapple

Molly Crabapple; the creator of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art school, and an well known artist/illustrator herself, is a person to watch for 2008. Modeling for Art classes to help pay her way through college, she got the idea to combine the elements of Cabaret with live-drawing, paving the way for her “Anti-Art” classes. Her illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, Marvel comics, and Wall Street Journal. In the upcoming months, she has a radio show, another book coming out, and an upcoming solo show.

“Closer Now” opening

The Rivington Arms gallery held the opening night of “Closer Now” - a series of four video installations by Uri Anan, Leigh Johnson, Leigh Ledare, and Natsuki Uruma. The artists explored the “duality of tension and relationships” through their selected work. Guests enjoyed complimentary Teany green tea with ginseng.
